Day 1: Problem Framing

A design sprint helps you refine an idea that is good. It doesn’t tell you whether you’re solving the right problem. Our problem framing workshop teaches your team how to work on problems that are well-defined, properly validated and supported by key stakeholders. On this day you will learn how to:

  • Define the right challenge for the sprint
  • Get the stakeholder’s buy-in
  • Make sense of the customer needs, perceptions and expectations
  • Pick the right team, experts and target customers
  • Gain the confidence that you are tackling a problem worth solving in the Design Sprint

Day 2&3: Design Sprint Training

On these 2 days, you’ll practice the tools & techniques of our re-engineered Design Sprint framework in a simulated sprint scenario

You will learn how to:

  • Collaborate with a diverse team within a real business case scenario
  • Solve a real problem
  • Understand customers need, outline and map their journey
  • Sketch innovative solutions in no time
  • Storyboard, prototype, and test
  • Make sense of customer testing insight

Day 4&5: Advanced Facilitation Training

In the span of 2 intense days, you’ll learn how to plan the design sprint week, communicate assertively, ask compelling questions, and encourage participation from multidisciplinary teams and people.

You will:

  • Learn the ground rules, mindset and your role as a Facilitator
  • Get the best out of your team: how to tap into their full potential and creativity
  • Manage conflicts. Learn how to deal with difficult group dynamics and disruptors.
  • Improve assertiveness. Learn to show empathy, while intervening firmly
  • Practice facilitation. Facilitate different Design Sprint phases and receive rounds of actionable feedback from your peers.
  • Learn how to confidently run a sprint yourself and apply it to your organization

Get Certified as a Design Sprint Master

Once you have completed your five-day training, it’s time to get certified! The certification process is as follows:

Pass the Theoretical Exam (DST)

You’ll be tested via a 76 multiple-choice online questionnaire on these core topics:

  • Design sprint prep
  • Design sprint phases
  • Managing the group dynamics

Pass the Practical Evaluation (DSP)

In this phase, your skills are evaluated by an independent Committee. You will need to submit to the Committee:

  • A video of you facilitating
  • A Design sprint report
  • Two referrals from your sprint team

On successful completion, you will become a Certified Design Sprint Master!
