A 2-day workshop recipe -based on “Click” by Jake Knapp and John Zeratsky- to help teams craft a hypothesis ready for testing in Design Sprints.
Day 1
Morning - Align on the Basics
Before diving into solutions, you need absolute clarity on the fundamentals. On Day 1, you’ll answer four key questions: Who is your customer? What problem are you solving? What strengths do you have? Who else is trying to solve this problem? This ensures everyone on your team is aligned from the start, preventing misalignment and wasted effort down the road.
Day 1
Afternoon - Differentiate from Competition
Once you define the problem, the next step is figuring out how you stand out. You’ll explore what makes your solution unique—whether it’s speed, cost, innovation, or industry expertise. This session helps you move beyond generic ideas and define a clear competitive edge that makes customers choose you over the competition.
Day 2
Morning - Brainstorm Approaches
With a strong foundation in place, it’s time to explore different ways to solve the problem. Instead of committing to one idea too soon, you’ll generate multiple possible solutions—each offering a different path forward. You’ll capture these in One-Page Summaries, making it easy to compare and refine ideas before making a decision.
Day 2
Afternoon - Evaluate Approaches & Form a Hypothesis
Not all ideas are created equal—some may be too costly, others might not scale. That’s why you’ll use the Magic Lenses framework to evaluate each approach based on customer experience, feasibility, growth potential, and financial viability. By the end of the day, you’ll align on the best path forward and turn it into a clear, testable hypothesis—ready to validate in a Design Sprint or user research.
