Design Sprints in Saudi: ELM Company's Expanding Agile Horizons
In 2024, ELM Company, a leading organization in Saudi Arabia's tech landscape, sought to further accelerate its agile transformation. Building on the success of the initial Design Sprint Academy training program in 2023, the company decided to expand the program to more teams to ensure widespread adoption of agile methodologies.
The DSA training was rolled out to new teams within ELM, providing them with a comprehensive introduction to the design sprint process. Participants were guided through the core stages of problem framing, ideation, prototyping, and testing.
A key objective of the training was to develop a pool of internal facilitators who could lead design sprints within their respective teams. Participants were equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to guide teams through the design sprint process, ensuring consistent application and alignment with ELM's overall agile strategy.
To stay relevant and address emerging trends in agile methodologies, the training program incorporated updated themes and best practices. Participants were introduced to the concept of AI-powered prototyping using Uizard AutoDesigner 2.0. This tool enabled teams to rapidly create and iterate on prototypes, significantly reducing the time and effort required for this critical stage of the design sprint process. By leveraging AI, teams were able to explore more ideas and test their assumptions more efficiently.
Through these efforts, ELM Company successfully scaled agile methodologies across its organization, empowering teams to innovate and solve problems more effectively.
